Last weekend, I let a friend use my cell phone to make some calls, afterwards she complained that my phone was so old that she couldn't stand it. So she bought me a new phone as a belated birthday present, and that's how I got my latest new toy—Nokia 6500c.
Ok. Before I got the new phone, I was fairly happy with my old one, you know besides the fact that the ringer goes on and off without any warning. it's great. But now that I got this new baby, I have to say "Why didn't I change it sooner?!". The sound quality is much better, the quality of the camera as well as the display screen is much better, it's lighter and thinner, I can finally send and receive photos, I finally have blue tooth. Wow, I've been living in the dark ages.

As she was trying on shoes in the Adidas store on the corner of Huai Hai Road and Rui Jin Road, somebody stole her bag. When I arrived, she was in the company of 2 cops and waiting to the see the store video. The amazing thing is they caught the whole thing on camera, clear as day, but the chances of them catching the guy is still slim. I wish they can just post the video on the internet. What really bothers my friend is the fact that there were only 2 other customers besides her in the store, and there were so many store staff there, and none of them paid any attention which could've prevented the theft from happening. In fact, some of the staff did nothing more than laugh about it after it happened. Then 3 more cops arrived on the scene, taking photos of the scene of the crime, drawing the layout, writing up a report. After that, one of the cops told us to walk to the police station to make a report. When we got to the police station, my friend had to tell her story for the 4th time, and wait for the policeman to type the whole thing into the computer. There was some other guy in front of us, so we had to wait for a long time. Very inefficient.
Saturday I went to watch the broadway musical "Aida"with my friend Wendy. We weren't able to convince our other halves to go with us, so we decided to go by ourselves. We bought 400RMB tickets, but when we arrived at the theatre, there were so many people selling discount tickets. Some guy offered to let me buy 400RMB tickets for only 200RMB, and said I can pay after I got inside. So, what can I say. This is China, and that’s the way things work.
It turned out to be a really great show, with great music, and great dancing. The female dancers are so damn sexy and hot, I just wanted to have bodies like that, and of course, be able to move like that (That thought is what kept me going at the gym later that afternoon).I didn't know anything about the story before, so I really didn't know what to expect. I learned just before the show started that it was a tragedy, so both Wendy and I are like, oh no! We much prefer happy endings. Well, because of the way they made this ancient story so modern, the music so hip and the dancing so hot, I wasn't sad at all. Broadway never fails to amaze me!

[color=Teal]A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter
Don't forget your Sisters,' she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. 'They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them.'
